Flower (Fresh and Bulbs) FundraisersFundraising DirectoryFlowers Fundraising: This is a natural way way to meet your fundraising goal. There are many nurseries across the US and even in South America that will sell wholesale flowers directly to your group. You can buy fresh cut flowers or blower bulbs for your fundraiser. The fresh cut flowers will generate a larger profit margin but the flower bulbs makes it easier to sell larger amounts to fewer people (after all most people don't buy 4 dozen roses at a fundraiser but they could buy 4 dozen tulip bulbs). Also another facter to keep in mind when planning your fundraiser is that volume buying will help you get discounted pricing. Average profit margins range from 40 to 60%. Flower fundraising can be done anytime of the year but the type of flowers available will change. If you do want to do a Valentine Day flower sale you might want to think about using carnations instead of roses.
